A 20-year-old man who allegedly fled the scene of a single-vehicle car crash at Blackett Avenue and William Street intersection on Monday night has handed himself into police.

About 10.20pm on Monday, police located a silver Ford Falcon that had failed to turn when leaving Blackett Avenue and collided with road signs situated on the southern footpath of William Street.
The driver a 20-year-old male from Young ran from the scene.
About 12.15pm on Tuesday, January 15, the accused attended Young Police Station to hand himself into Police. He was assessed and treated for injuries at Hospital, then returned to Young Police Station for charging.
The accused was charged with 11 offences including contravene an AVO, take and drive conveyance without the owners consent, drive vehicle under the influence of alcohol, damage property, drive suspended and three counts of assault that related to an incident prior to the accident.
The accused was granted bail to appear at Young Local Court.
