Ed represented Australia at modern pentathlon at the 2012 Olympics at London.
He’s since embarked on a number of grueling horse treks, a 5962m mountain climb at Argentina’s Mount Aconcagua, and built a multi-million-dollar property portfolio and development company.
He raised awareness of rural depression and $55,000 for the Black Dog Institute during a 1100km horse trek from Braidwood over the Snowy Mountains to Melbourne after the 2012 Olympics.
One of his major achievements is winning the Mongol Derby in record time in 2017 – it’s known as the longest and toughest horse race in the world.

The 1000km race requires each competitor to ride 28 semi-wild Mongolian horses.
Most years only half of the competitors finish the race.
All day events are planned to begin at 10am at Wagenbah Oval.
A street parade will take place at 12pm before an awards ceremony about 12.30pm.
