The start of February marks the time when education facilities and organisations return from the summer break to begin another busy year.
Not doubt it’s a time when plans for upcoming events for 2019 will be discussed and confirmed. Welcome back everyone.
Markets
Call in to Anderson Park for the Young and Region Farmers Market this Saturday.
The markets are held in the shady environs of the park, with a tasty array of goods as well as plants and other items. The Uniting Church Monthly Markets follow on Saturday, February 9 where you’ll find plants, vegetables, candles, jewellery, hand made cards, honey, soap, books and many other items at their hall and grounds.
Boorowa Makers and Growers Community Markets will be held on Saturday February 23. The markets are held in the old courthouse grounds and there are always wonderful items to purchase. All the markets offer fresh local produce.
Concerts return
Take 5 on Friday is soon to make a return to the Hilltops Library Young Branch, with the first concert of the series set to start on February 8. The 2019 series opens with local poet and raconteur Jim Lamb.
