Last Tuesday our first night of “Business House” competition was washed out due to extreme thunderstorms and flash flooding.
Wednesday night still went ahead as planned.
“Vinnies” team with Pat Nowlan as captain played “L.F.E’s” team, with Peter Druett as captain.
The two ladies from “Vinnies” team, Joe and Browlyn had never held a mallet in their life before this game, but they had a great night and even managed to win one game.
John Reynold’s LFE team was too good all round though, and they inevitably took home the winning title.
The draw for Tuesday February 12 will commence at 6pm for a 6.30 pm start.
Sue Luckie’s team “Tegra” will be playing Edna Kelly’s team, “IGA”.
Doug Leadbeater’s team “Rain and Horne” will be playing the “Vinnies” team.
Wednesday February 13 games will also commence at 6pm for a 6.30 start.
Peter Druetts team “LFE” will be playing Fay Slaters team “Cinima”, on court two.
Club members are urged to remember the next Croquet meeting which will be held on Friday February 22.
The meeting will commence at 1pm at the Croquet Club House.
This will be an important meeting for all croquet players as they will be discussing the new croquet rules recently being implemented.
Graham Innocent will commence the meeting, taking us all through the new rules for croquet 2019 together, and also answering any questions members may have regarding the rules.
Peter has left copies of the new rules in the club house for those players who may still be unsure of the rules after the meting, who may be unable to attend, and to remind players.
Doug’s day is also now on Friday April 12 at 9am.
