In the match played at Cranfield Oval on Saturday, Cootamundra batted first finished their innings all out for 89 in 31 overs.
A four pronged Young attack did a god job restricting Cootamundra to the modest total with Callan Taylor, Mick Ashton and Jason Hall each taking three wickets.
Kris Scelly was the other wicket taker.
Hall was the best of the bowlers, taking his three wickets off 5.1 overs for the loss of only 14 runs.
Best with the bat for Cootamundra was Darren Connell who contributed 35 runs to his side's total.
Nathan Corby (18) was the only other Coota batsmen to reach double figures.
Despite chasing just 90 for victory the Young batsmen fell well short of the target, with their innings wrapped up for just 9/46 in a little over 16 overs.
As was the case with Cootamundra, only two Coyotes reached double figures with the bat, Geoff Palmer reaching 16 before he was bowled by Corby and Brendan Sheppard 12 before he was similarly dismissed.
Cootamundra used just the two bowlers, Nathan Corby and Dean Bradley.
Corby finished with a bag of six wickets off 8 overs for just 20 runs.
