After four rounds (72 holes) Sunday saw the men's Club Championships for this year conclude and the winners had the leading position in two grades from the first round.

Geoff Walker played steady golf to finish on nine over par 289 and that gave him a buffer of seven shots over Alan Wilder who finished on 296.
In B grade there was a lot of jockeying for positions but in the end Gus Stinson who was the defending champion managed to get to the front and finish on 335 and a two shot winning margin over Craig Gault who finished 337.
In C grade Col Miller held a solid position in the lead from the first round finished on 361 and a winning margin of 18 shots over Andrew Aiken on 379. The leading eight scores in each grade will now play off for the matchplay title.

The draw is on the notice board in the clubhouse and first round matches need to be played March 24.
The club acknowledges and thanks the South West Slopes Credit Union who have sponsored the championships for 20 years.
The other major event is the 72 hole handicap event and Jordan Osmond was the A grade winner with a nett score of 280. In B grade Sam Langford shot a net score of 281 to win. In C grade the winner was Grant Noakes on 278.
On Saturday we had a single stroke in conjunction with the championships, sponsored by Max Gilbert, John Rolfe and Gary Nicolls.
The winners were Jordan Osmond in A grade with 65 nett. Sam Langford won B grade on 62 nett and Grant Noakes was the C grade winner on 65 nett.

Nearest to the pin winners were Col Blizzard, Andrew Sabidussi and Greg Nolan. On Sunday the single stroke event, sponsored by Brian Page, Wayne Hewson and David Martens, saw Andrew Sabidussi win A grade, Ben Norton won B grade and Grant Noakes won C grade.

Terry Shipp won Saturday's single Stableford for non-championships players. Next Saturday the event will be a 4BBB sponsored by Grant Harding and Allan Moore.
