Clifton House hosted Mercy Care Centre's annual charity cocktail party night on Saturday March 10 to raise funds for the refurbishment of the centre's palliative care unit.

Donations are still currently being processed, but according to Young's Mercy Care Centre staff member Mary-Lou Cusack, the turn out on the night was amazing and tickets had sold out earlier in the week.
"Last year we raised $80,000 for the Young Mercy Care Centre, so I can say we are probably looking at similar figures again this year," Ms Cusack said.

"It was a fantastic night, the venue was superb, the band was amazing and the community and guest support we received was incredible.
"All of us here at the Young Mercy Care Centre are very grateful for the generosity of those who attended, from Clifton house and from our sponsors Hamblin's Amcal Pharmacy, Young Eyes, Trimech and the Young Services Club," she said.
Mercy Care staff are awaiting the final amount raised to announce to the public .
