A 64-run eighth-wicket partnership between Troy Newham and Matt Sell has lifted Burrangong to victory in this season's South West Slopes Division Two grand final.

Burrangong was reeling at 7-76 after winning the toss and batting against Young Gunners at Gus Smith No.1 Oval on Saturday, before Newham and Sell showed resistance to help Burragong post 148.

The match winning partnership was broken when Newham departed for 69, an innings including 14 boundaries, with the score at 140.
Sell was the final wicket to fall. He went for for a valuable 32. The partnership was crucial after Burrangong fell in deep trouble early.
Wayne Robinson (13) and Ethan Newham (10) were the only two batsmen in the top six to register double figures.
Gunners seamer Ethan Richens removed Llyod Kimber and Ben Logue with consecutive balls to rip through the middle order, after Hurcum brothers Javarn, Tyler and Declan removed the top four. Gunners struggled to gather momentum in pursuit of victory.

Javarn Hurcum showed his all-round abilities compiling 46 at the top of the order, however when he departed it sparked a battling collapse.
The Gunners lost 7-38 and were bowled out for 105 with Peter Jolliffe (11) and Ethan Richens (13) the only other batsmen to pass 10.
Wickets were shared among the bowlers with Troy Newham chiming in with two, new ball bowler Ben Logue grabbing two and Lloyd Kimber also recorded two scalps.
