The former Young Public School and Hennessy Catholic College student recently completed her doctorate in Philosophy with an Examiners Commendation for Outstanding Thesis earning Dr Causer her PhD.
Dr Causer's thesis was titled Functional Magnetic Interface Phenomena in Nano-Architectures with the thesis also picking up the Australian Neutron Beam Users Group PhD prize for an outstanding thesis using neautron scattering techniques.
"Grace is now employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at the Technical University of Munich in Germany," Dr Causer's very proud mother Roslyn Causer said.

A postdoctoral researcher means that Dr Causer is professionally researching different aspects of physics.
Dr Causer's achievements however began long before she earned her doctorate spanning back to 2013 when she graduated with first class honours from the University of Wollongong in a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) Physics.
She then went on to study at the University of Wollongong in conjunction with the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, Lucas Heights where she completed the PhD.
The three-and-a-half-year PhD was funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program Award.
During her PhD in nuclear physics, Dr Causer was awarded the Australian Institute for Nuclear Science and Engineering Post Graduate Research Award.

While completing her latest PhD, Dr Causer presented talks on her research at International Conferences in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, South Korea, United Kingdom, American and Germany.
"Grace is grateful to Golden Glance Nursery, Hallmark Orchards and Hall Family Orchards who employed her during her holidays to support her studies," Mrs Causer said.
"To Dr T Burg and Hennessy Catholic College who inspired her to study science."
Dr Grace Causer is the daughter of Blake and Roslyn Causer and granddaughter of Ross and Dimity Causer.
She's a former student of the Young Public School and Young's Hennessy Catholic College.
