After winning the Cherry Festival Cup in November, Hewitt added the Young Harness Racing Club's second major piece of silverware to his collection at Saturday's Carnival of Cups meeting.
It was Make Mine Heaven producing an all the way victory in the $18,000-to-the-winner race, Hewitt keeping enough in the tank of the five-year-old mare to win the dash to the line ahead of Spare Me Days.
While the result continued Hewitt's good fortunes at the Young Paceway, it spoiled Goulburn trainer Brad Hewitt's hopes of a fourth straight Young Pacers Cup win for Spare Me Days.

Spare Me Days was fast finishing after sitting one wide of Make Mine Heaven throughout the trip, but he left his lunge too late and was forced to settle for second by a head.
Amanda Turnbull steered Conviction to third for trainer Steve Turnbull.
It was Make Mine Heaven's 11th career victory and her fourth win in five starts.
"She's been going through the grades and is stepping into Group 3 company now. It was always going to be a tough race, she held them off pretty well," Bernie Hewitt said.
"I knew he [Spare Me Days] would keep coming, it was a good finish and a great race."

The $18,000 winner's prizemoney is the most lucrative win of her 32 start career.
Earlier in the night, Amanda Turnbull won the $20,400 Young Derby with race favourite Shoobee Doo, and Nathan Xuereb made the trip from Londonderry worthwhile for trainer Michael Xuereb winning the $20,400 Young Oaks with Bella Clare.
The Young Harness Club's meeting on Wednesday features the final two races of the 2019 Nic Dewar Memorial.
