Another Buddy ($16) was presented with the ideal sit position, one back outside line behind the more favoured runners, Great Hand ($7) and Harps ($1.95).
Another Buddy made a move at the 400m marker to circle the leading horses to come home in a mile rating of 2:01.1 and a margin of a head over Great Hand and Harps.
Bathurst trainer Steve Turnbull made a rare visit to his happy hunting ground to steer Art Series ($3.80) to another close win in race two ahead of leader Blackwhiteandblue ($5) and Scarlet Babe ($5). An impressive mile rating of 1:56.9 gave the gelding his eighth win from 34 starts.

The strong Bathurst stable continued their dominance with a more comfortable win in race three with Maximus Red (Amanda Turnbull; $1.30) leading for most of the 2100m event to defeat a determined True Confessions ($5.50) and Philanderer ($51) for Cawdor driver Blake Fitzpatrick.
The first feature race of the night, the $20,000 Southcon Young Pty Oaks resulted in victory for the Londonderry trained favourite Bella Clare ($1.95) for Nathan Xuereb.
The filly sat in an ideal race position before joining in at the 400m to grab victory. The winners mile rate was 2:01.7.
The correct weight signal was delayed following the running of race five with stewards anxious to view the patrol film on the run home at the 300m mark.
After close inspection, placings were declared and favourite backers breathed a sigh of relief when the winner Shoobee Doo ($1.20) received the judges pat ahead of Leonidas ($23) and Make Mine Memphis ($16).
Driver Amanda Turnbull has now declared she will set the colt for the forthcoming Gold Crown series at Bathurst.

The seventh race again gave the state's leading female drive the opportunity to claim another win when favourite Mach Le More ($1.55) gave Amanda Turnbull an armchair drive in defeating We Salute You ($4.20) and Hit The Track ($8.50) in impressive style, the margin to the winner being three metres and a mile rating of 1.59.6 for the 1720m penultimate event.
The final race of the night gave patrons the opportunity to see some promising two year olds strut their stuff over the 1720m with two of the runners facing the starter for the first time.
Steve Turnbull had another Mach Three gelding engaged and Saint Emilion ($6) showed maturity after being a little tardy at the start to circle the field early, maintaining his superiority to post a four metre win over Forever Yin ($5) and the Grenfell trained Didn't I ($12) for Ken Wade.
