With Wagga and Bathurst holding pride of place, the Young club continue to attract competitive fields that once again will produce some exciting finishes and fast times.
Last weeks track record performance (1.54.8) by the Junee trained Rubies For Tash and the exciting finish by the locally trained Twentyeightblack were just two highlights of what was undoubtably one of the best nights racing seen for some time.
RACE 1
Don't Call Me Crazy ran fifth here last start and should improve here from a similar gate. Long Hot Summer is the likely leader and will give backers a great sight. Gold Onyx needs to find form following some indifferent runs of late but could surprise here. Kyalla Stuart always gives his best and will be in the fight for a long time.
Selections
4 Don't Call Me Crazy, 1 Long Hot Summer, 9 Gold Onyx, 3 Kyallas Stuart
RACE 2
Missing A Bolt won two starts back and a fourth last start was a fair effort, looks suited here from a good gate.
Harps has been consistent of late and should be forward from a wide gate, stable firing well at the moment. Ideal Billy has been racing well but has an awkward draw. Distance will suit. Courageous Beau needs a change of luck but form is good without winning.
Selections
3 Missing A Bolt, 6 Harps, 10 Ideal Billy, 5 Courageous Beau
RACE 3
Rockita was impressive last start with an impressive win, should continue that winning form here. Tatibye is another consistent pacer who continues to race consistently, not the roughest here. Jedda Shannon is from a strong stable and supporter of the Young Club. Not well drawn but will be running on. Jay Peez Official won here two starts back and was third at Canberra, will be running on.
Selections
2 Rockita, 6 Tatibye, 10 Jedda Shannon, 9 Jay Peez Official
RACE 4
Michaels Desire is a last start winner following some rearward finishes, may have struck form and a repeat of his last win should see him back in the winners stall. Annie Matilda ran third behind About The Attitude here last week, beaten 9 1/4 metres and is fitter for that resuming run.
Tanyas Past has won two from five and looks better here. Redbank Harry won three starts back and is ready to bounce back here, distance will suit.
Selections
3 Michaels Desire, 2 Annie Matilda, 9 Tanyas Past, 8 Redbank Harry
RACE 5
Volaticus is the class horse of the race and should be too strong for these. Last win was very impressive and a win here is certainly on the cards. Smooth Sailor is racing with vigour and a win would not surprise here. Stormy Raider is a last start winner and prior to that was second in stronger company.
Major Score ran third here last start behind Misterfreeze beaten ten meters in 1:59.2. Big chance here.
Selections
10 Volacticus, 5 Smooth Sailor, 6 Stormy Raider, 7 Major Score
RACE 6
Lukes Gift has been supported and beaten in last five starts, gets better opportunity here to break through. Morning Major is drawn well and was third last time out, place chance. If He's Lucky could be in the finish with luck in running, consistent form without winning. Silk Banyula at long odds is a definite place chance if gets sit mid race.
Selections
9 Lukes Gift, 2 Morning Major, 4 If He's Lucky, 5 Silk Banyula
RACE 7
Crime Time ran fifth here last stat but looks better suited here from good gate. Distance will suit the veteran of fifty starts and five wins. Nifty Studleigh will be running on and likes this track, place chance. Ambitions has a nice draw and the Junee stable is going well at the moment. Rocknroll Da Gama could be a threat if he secures a start for Ray Walker.
Selections
2 Crime Time, 9 Nifty Studleigh, 1 Ambitions, 3 Rocknroll De Gamma
RACE 8
Polemarker Miss Fernandez ran 3 rd here last start behind Abitmorebliss and Gabby Sportstar, should be improved by the run. It's Alltherightmoves is drawn well and distance will suit following some indifferent runs. Cee Cee Norman has been placed three times in recent outings and looks a place chance here. Mini Major produced an improved effort here last start when second behind Bustling Barney, beaten 31/2 metres, not the roughest.
Selections
1 Miss Fernandez, 2 It's Alltherightmoves, 6 Cee Cee Norman, 8 Mini Major
RACE 9
Shez Grinin is lightly raced being close handy on both occasions and is possible race favourite. Rock This Way was third last time out but form prior average, may be in it for a long way. Negative Nancy has similar form but race conditions are an invitation to secure a well overdue win. Getaloadathisgirl comes into this again with similar form, stable always produces and this could be the night.
RACE 10
Always A Duchess has the outside draw but will no doubt be going forward from a wide gate and distance. Propa Rock Start needs to put his best foot forward if he wants to win here. Sure Bet Shannon is sure to look for the lead and the early duel could be interesting. Llanfair Rhiannon has the hope of the stable on her shoulders here and expect an interesting final race.
Selections
6 Always A Duchess, 7 Propa Rock Star, 1 Sure Bet Shannon, 8 Llanfair Rhiannon
