The fundraising event is held in conjunction with the school's annual cross country carnival at Toompang Racecourse, with students participating in the competitive cross country race, the colour run, or both.
Each student donates an amount of money which is combined with proceeds collected from the day's barbecue lunch.

All four college houses, Rice, Gallagher, McAuley and Nagle, choose a charity organisation or community group to raise funds for during the course of the year.
This was the second straight year that McAuley house has hosted a colour run, following the massive success of last year's event.
"The event is run in conjunction with our annual college cross country. Students can opt to do either run or both," Hennessy administration officer Fiona Tanner said.

"Students only participating in the fun run do not have the opportunity to progress. Lots of the students choose to do both runs throughout the day."
The total amount raised has not been confirmed, however the school is anticipating in excess of $1200.
