The Bureau of Meteorology has said that Young is predicted to have top temperatures between 26 and 27 degrees Celsius between Friday and Monday with lows of between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius.
Farmers and those with grazing animals will be happy with possible showers predicted for Monday.
Moving forward over the next three months the Bureau's climatologists have predicted it will be a drier than average three months between May and July with warmer than average nights and days and an 80 percent chance of temperatures being higher than average.
"The Bureau's climate model suggests there is a chance El Nino will develop in the coming months," a Bureau of Meteorology climatologist said.
"If El Nino does develop, it would increase the chances of drier conditions in the south and east."
