This Saturday Young Tennis Club will be celebrating 100 years on the court with its Centenary Dinner and day of events.

The committee are inviting players and members current and former to join them for a hit on the courts from 9am on Saturday April 27 where morning tea will be provided.
Later in the evening the fun day on the courts will be followed on by a three course, 100 years centenary dinner from 6.30pm in the Flamingos Room at the Young Services Club.
Grand Slam Champion and Australian Open Finalist Jan Lehane OAM will be a special guest at the event and joined by Bill Bowrey and Lesley Turner who also had grand slam success.
Jan Lehane OAM is a past Grand Slam Champion as well as an Australian Open Finalist from 1960, 61, 62 and 63.
Coach Colin Maher is very excited for the event and is looking forward to the day.

RSVP was required for the dinner for catering purposes however there will be plenty of other activities for past, current and future players to take part in throughout the day.
Anyone interested in having a hit, trying out tennis or who loves the game is invited to join the Young Tennis Club from 9am for Senior Tennis and Junior Tennis at the Young Tennis Club.
Morning tea will be provided for anyone wishing to attend.
There is also plenty of history to take in inside the clubhouse with photos, trophies, winner boards and much more that go all the way back to when the club was first initiated in Young.
Players are expected to travel from Wagga, Dubbo, Narromine, Port Macquarie, Taree, Batemans Bay, Woollongong, Sydney, Southern Highlands and Canberra to attend.
Throughout the day the courts at the Young Tennis Club will be available for anyone who wishes to play and help the club celebrate 100 years in the Young community.
