"Hope you have had a great Easter weekend and you're looking forward to commemorating our ANZACs and now the football begins," Junior Pickers president Ben Mott said.
"I have no doubt we're all ready to go and I know I can't wait to get down to Keith Cullen oval and watch all our little Pickers put their best foot forward."
The Junior Pickers have already had its first round of the Town Comp and played a few trial games but on Saturday the sides will have a full day of games at Keith Cullen Oval on Saturday against Wagga Brothers.
"There is some extra time in a couple of games at Brothers request and our day is very long with plenty of footy," Mott said.
Games will kick off on Saturday morning from 8.30am with Town Comp games and the Pickers teams games will start from 10am.
Duty teams on Saturday are the Roosters and Storm in the morning with ground and canteen set up if they can please make sure to get a good turn out of helpers please following up after a great first week of Town Comp two weeks ago.
"During the day we are trailing a new roster type system where one Pickers age group do the whole day which will hopefully work out as each age group will only get one day for the season that they need to do duty," Mott said.
"We would absolutely love to get some fresh faces helping on ground set up and pack up and, in the canteen, a little bit of help makes a huge difference and it has to be remembered our goal is just to make this the best place possible for your kids to play their sport that they love."
The first age group to try the new roster system is the Under 12s boys and the committee asks anyone with a child in these sides could lend a hand throughout the day.
Next week, May 4 is a general bye with the Raiders playing their game in Wagga against the Panthers which would be a great day for the kids.
The following week May 11 will be in Wagga for a round of games against Turvey Park and our 12s and 15s at this stage will have games against Magpies at the same venue that day with Turvey having no sides in those ages.
