According to organiser Joy Cameron over 170 invitations were sent out for the weekend.
Mrs Cameron and the committee are continuing the success of the previous reunions which are attended by staff members who worked at the hospital.
A meet and greet will be held on Saturday afternoon at Hennessy Catholic College Hall from 1.30pm with a mass at St Mary's Catholic Church from 6pm followed by dinner at the Young Services Club where 'special guest' entertainers will keep everyone entertained.
On Sunday, May 26 at 10am there will be an optional recovery brunch at Urban Retreat on Lynch Street open for everyone.
If any of the nurses or staff from between 1911 and 1984 would like to attend either both or part of the events they are encouraged to contact either Joy Cameron or Noela Hardman to discuss the logistics.
The event is being organised by a small but energetic and enthusiastic nurses group in which includes, Nancy McGregor, Val Patterson, Noela Hardman, Ann Symons, Sue Rolls and Joy Cameron.
The reunions have been run every five years according to Mrs Cameron with former staff travelling from across the country and even the globe to catch up and reminisce at the events.
Anyone who worked at the Sacred Heart Mercy Hospital are very welcome to attend the afternoon tea.
