Principal of Murringo Public School Kaelene Neville was very proud of the hard work and the dedication the students showed not only in their performance but in the way they prepared for the competition.
"The students have been rehearsing once a week in their own lunchtime to prepare for the performance and were keen to give it their best," Mrs Neville said.
Not only did they 'give it their best' but they also wowed the judges with their well put together performance and winning the top prize for the section.
"The choir sang Cups from Pitch Perfect and Hopeful by Bars and Melody," Mrs Neville said.
"Hopeful is a combined rap and choral song about bullying and the three boys who performed the solo rap section were fantastic!"
On top of the brilliance of the win the school has also been asked by the organisers of the Cowra Eisteddfod to return and perform an encore performance at the Grand Finale Concert.
Anyone wishing to watch the school perform can do so at the Cowra Eisteddfod Grand Finale Concert which will be held on Saturday June 15 at the Cowra Civic Centre.
