Harold Anderson triumphs in singles final thriller

Damien Miller and Harold Anderson produced a very keenly contested club singles final on Saturday.

Damien led 28 to 21 towards the final few ends of the game however Harold produced some outstanding bowls to draw level.

The match lasted 40 ends, the skill by both players was outstanding. Harold won on the 40th end with a result of 31 shots to 29. Congratulations to Harold and well played Damien.

The jackpot bowls for Saturday playing for the Patterson Brothers sponsored vouchers. The winning pair of Albert Carter and Scott Douglas won with a margin of 19 shots.

On Thursday, June 6, 20 players contested the jackpot afternoon bowls. Five games of pairs with the winners for the day with a margin of 12 shots was Albert Carter and Joe Bargwanna.

Entries will be available this weekend for the club triples.

The first round of two rounds of the BPL Cup will be held at The Young Bowling Club on Sunday, June 23. This event of three or four players is a first for the Young Club.
