Commonwealth Bank Young branch have donated the money to Young Crisis Accommodation Centre and Margaret House as part of a nationwide community donation program.
According to Young Commonwealth Bank Branch Manager Sarah Sullivan the Commonwealth Bank's Young branch team voted to support the great work of the Young Crisis Accommodation Centre and all that the organisation does for and with the community.
"We're very excited to have the opportunity to support the Young Crisis Accommodation Centre," Sarah said.
"In particular, the devotion and ongoing support they give to members of the community and their families in times of crisis and need, so it's great to be able to give back and support this work."
The donation from Commbank will go into finishing off fitting out the centre's newly renovated house for women and women with children, Gwen Gunning of the Crisis Accomodation Centre said.
"At this time in the new section we only have a washing machine and fridge so we need to do window coverings, lounge, table and chairs, queen bed and all of the other everyday items such as cups, plates, cutlery and more."
She said Margaret House, the Young Crisis Accommodation Centre's women's refuge, will be asking for donations from the public to help complete the fit out.
"Any donations will be a great start to us being able start using this great facility once again."
