Fourteen Stars, following weeks of practice and individual fundraising efforts, took to the stage on Thursday and Friday night at the Young S and C Club.
The fundraising total is more than any previous years, and it was the first time a second performance was held due to popular demand for tickets.
"The people of Young need to be congratulated. This town is full of people who support each other and that was the key to the success of Stars," Cancer Council spokesperson Christine Williams said.
Pharmacist David Hamblin was the highest fundraiser collecting $15,000.
He was followed by Adrian Capra and Kyle McGovern who raised $8000 and $6500 respectively.
In total, the 14 Stars made $71,000 through various fundraising events in the community.
The remainder of the money was through the event ticket sales, auctions on the night and additional money, Ms Williams said.
"The positive vibe and community spirit here in Young is exceptional," she said.
"The dedication of the Stars to not only take the time to learn and practice a dance routine, but to fund raise over and over again was inspirational.
"The Cancer Council was humbled that the successful business people of Young didn't just open a cheque book and say 'here's a donation - may I have a tax deductible receipt'. No! They stepped out of their comfort zones and put themselves out there personally - and that takes courage."
The People's Choice award on Thursday night went to Adrian Capra while on Friday night Kyle McGovern edged Keith Duran by $5.
Judge's Choice were real estate agents Dick Cummins and David Coombes, who did a Rocky Horror Picture Show number - they won by one point.
Ms Williams thanked on behalf of the Stars Leanne Simms and her Academy of Dance students, Gaby Capra and Lloyd Keenan.
"They were the crux of it all," she said.
David Hamblin thanked everyone who donated during his fundraising campaign, helping him take out the top fundraiser honours.
"The support from family, friends, customers, local suppliers and national suppliers has been an extremely humbling experience," he said.
"Everyone has been so generous in their support. Three minutes on stage is a small price to pay for a cure."
Stars of Young 2020 will be held on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June.
