Becoming involved in your child's education can demonstrate some wonderful traits and life lessons. Parents and families are often encouraged to support and volunteer in schools such as giving time to help fundraise, taking on canteen duties or even giving a helping hand with some one-on-one time during class.

If a child does need extra support, discuss with staff to discover if the school can offer assistance. Children with special needs and disabilities can be given support through extra assistance and equipment, but only if the school has been made aware of the situation. Parents often look at allowing their children to grow in a community situation.
