"My house backs onto the highway out to Harden/Coota way, and not even 10 mins before this, some A.H decided to spin his wheels when taking off from the road beside the cemetery... It unsettled my 2yr old...."
"I have heard them two weekends in a row and think they are somewhere out Chillings Work Road. Very annoying as drives the dogs mad," another posted.
Some commenting on the posts believe they are related to drug supply in town, while others believe they are being set off by "idiots".
"People are idiots," a south side resident commented.
Residents have been posting their frustration over the fireworks disturbing children, the elderly and pets with some of the explosions going off in the early hours of the morning.
According to SafeWork NSW there were three single use fireworks licences issued in Young over the long weekend.
Each of the fireworks licences issued are only valid for a single nominated event.
"Members of the public should report these incidents with as much information as possible - time, exact (or as close as possible) location, any vehicles seen in the vicinity, any damage," Inspector Reeves said.
"The community can be assured that this is a priority for us and is being actively investigated."
