Chloe and Sophie Worner Tomlinson competed in the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking competition in Cootamundra on June 27.
Both girls wrote, practiced and delivered their prepared speeches beautifully according to Young Public School.
And it took the impromptu section titled 'Brains' to separate them.
Sophie pipped Chloe at the post coming in in first place with Chloe coming in a very close second.
Sophie will now head off to compete in the next level of the competition, with Chloe to back her up as the reserve.
Sophie and Chloe's classmates were very impressed with the pair and were very quick to congratulate the girls on their success.
