The retired second-rower, who played 11 Origin games and more than 200 NRL matches, was the special guest at the Young Cherrypickers Men's Luncheon on Friday, the club's major fundraiser each year.
In an interview with the Young Witness, Scott said he's hugely excited for Wednesday night's 2019 Origin decider.
"I actually can't wait. I just hope the boys can get the job done in Sydney. There's huge expectation on the NSW boys to win the game, so I can't wait to get there and cheer them on," he said.
He described NSW's performance in game two as "brilliant", the Blues leveling the series with an emphatic 38-6 win.
"It was great to watch. I cheered them the whole way. Queensland hasn't been treated like that in a very long time I think it will give them something to think about heading into game three."
Scott played a key role in NSW's drought-breaking series win in 2014, however, he also tasted defeat in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015, during Queensland's 11-year stranglehold.
He's backed NSW coach Brad Fittler's decision to go with Mitchell Pearce in the absence of injured halfback Nathan Cleary.
Pearce is yet to win an Origin series, having featured in seven losing series since 2008.
Scott, who played a number of Origin games with Pearce, hopes Pearce plays a crucial role in a Blues victory.
"I really, really hope we get the result and he has a solid game, just for his sake. He's had a tough Origin career just because Queensland has been too good. They've had the wood on us for a long time but the tide is changing," Scott said.
"He's a competitor. Everyone loves playing with him. It's just been hard playing against Thurston, Cronk, Smith and the likes. They found their groove and it was hard to stop them for a number of years."
About 260 tickets were sold to the annual Men's Luncheon.
Organiser Robert Bush thanked Beau Scott for making himself available on short notice after Anthony Minichello was a late withdrawal.
He also thanked Mark Sheridan and Jason Irvine for helping make the event possible
