The series will pit together a number of promising young greyhounds from across the region who are looking to break through for the first win of their career.
Young trainer Vicki Prest has two chasers challenging with Classy Lee in heat one and Guy's Song in the second.
"They're shaping up alright," she said.
Jack and Lorraine Roy from Wallendbeen and Young's Tim McCaffery also feature starters in the heats.
The Roys'-trained Chopper's Chance and Every Chance are in heat one and two respectively.
Bear With Me for McCaffery is going around in start 61 in pursuit of a drought-breaking maiden victory.
The first three finishers in each heat will progress to next weekend's final with the fastest fourth and fifth placegetters also qualifying for the decider.
Vicki Prest, who is also a committee member of the Young greyhound club, was hugely pleased to so many trainers enter runners from their respective kennels.
"Thank you everyone for supporting the Young greyhound racing club's meeting, the club's very pleased," Prest said.
Racing starts at 1pm on Saturday.
