The Yabbies accounted for Temora 31-19 at Cranfield Oval in the final regular round of 2019.
While the Yabbies won't progress beyond this point, president Cec Finley was proud of the side's commitment in the final round.
"It's a really good way to finish the season with a strong win over Temora," he said.
"The boys were on top in all departments really. We were strong in the backs and pack was really good.
"It's a good way to end the season. We had a good crowd and it's very encouraging, from the amount of local support we've received, to be back in the local competition."
Owen Griffiths was one of Young's best in their final game of the year.
Finley said he had an "outstanding game".
The president said he's looking forward to seeing the side, and the club, develop and build in 2020.
"We have a lot of young blokes who would have learnt a lot," he said.
He said a focus of the club is to establish a women's side to compete in the Central West Rugby women's competition.
"It's a key objective of ours to ensure we have a women's team next year. I just see it as a way of moving forward. A lot of the teams we play each week have a women's team so it will really make game days better," he said.
Finley added that he believes Cootamundra Tri-Colour are favourites to take out the Oilsplus South West competition.
"They've managed to go through undefeated and will be hard to beat," he said.
