Following a well earned winter break for local supporters, racing will return to the Young Paceway next Friday afternoon, August 16.

There's a massive program that is expected to attract some of the best pacers currently in work in both the western districts and southern NSW.

With well over $80,000 in total prizemoney up for grabs, racing should be of the highest quality.

There's numerous features on the action packed afternoon meeting include the heats of the $10,000 Kevin and Kay Seymore Evolution Pace that will carry a $20,000 final to be held at Menangle on August 24.

More than $10,000 races are also set down including the Harness Rewards, Where Horses Fly and Country Series heats.

These races supported by a number of $6,230 races that will no doubt add to the quality of entrants that should ensure competitive racing, close finishes and fast times.

Track curator Len Summerfield and his team have been busy over past weeks maintaining the highly regarded track surface, some say one of the best in NSW.

Local trainers have been busy over recent weeks with Michael Day, Todd Day, Josh Powderly, Peter Schiller, David Micallef, Troy Fletcher, Rodney Blythe, Kevin Powderly, Mark Cullen and others travelling to Wagga, Parkes and Dubbo in their endevour to compete for the high prizemoney that is currently on offer.

Nominations from Friday's meeting close this morning at 9.30am with fields expected to be made available about 4pm.
