Young Lions first grade kept their finals hopes alive with a one-all draw at Leeton on Sunday.
An under-strength Lions salvaged one point thanks to an Alex Mitchell strike, the result keeping Young sixth on the ladder with two regular rounds remaining.
Young will fancy making up the necessary ground to finish in the top five given they finish with games against bottom four sides Tumut and South Wagga.
While Leeton faces a tough task against top two teams Hanwood and Lake Albert, while Wagga United take on Lake Albert and Tolland.
Young is three points outside equal fifth-placed Leeton and Wagga United.
In the lower grades over the weekend, the ladies drew nil-all with Wagga United, third grade men's beat Leeton 3-1 thanks to goals to Kurt Lyzun, Simon Major and Brendan Croese, and an undermanned fourth grade were thumped 10-0 by Lake Albert.
This weekend sees all men's games on Sunday at Hall Bros Oval.
Fourth grade begins proceedings from 11am before third grade scheduled for 1pm and the main game at 3pm.
The ladies travel to Leeton on Sunday for a 9am game.
