Gymnasts from girls levels one to eight and Team Gym competed in the competition on August 3 and 4. It coincided as a state trial for Team Gym and girls levels three and four.
Competitors converged from across the region including Dubbo, Yass, Orange, Mudgee, Griffith, Parks and Bathurst.
Overall achievements:
- Level one: three golds, five silver, one bronze
- Level two: seven golds, four silver
- Level three: five silver, six bronze
- Level four: one bronze
"Congratulations to the following five gymnasts who successfully secured a place at the NSW Championships in October for level three: Shania McKinnon, Matilda Harrison, Sienna Dwyer, Cheyenne-lee Hills and Matilda Foster," Robertson's Gymnastics coach Michelle Robertson said.
Three Team Gym teams also qualified for upcoming NSW Championships in November.
Team Blue competing for the first time scored a silver to qualify, team Gymazing achieved gold after narrowly missing out on gold at the country championships, and intermediate team The Crazy Frogs not only won gold but placed ahead of all other teams in the competition.
The Crazy Frogs were plagued with injuries and lost two team members just before the event. Retired gymnast Shannon Robertson traveled home from Lismore to assist the team.
"Good luck to all gymnasts who will be traveling to Sydney to compete at NSW Championships," Michelle said.
