As the weather conditions got worse later in the week most players decided that their health was more important than playing bowls.
On Thursday afternoon four hardy (there could be a more apt description) members took part in a social game.
There was no play at all on Saturday and Sunday.
Zone 8 wins against ACT
At Wagga the scheduled games between Zone 8 and ACT went ahead with Zone 8 the winners. The description of the weather conditions is not suitable for a family newspaper.
A full weekend of play is set down for this week.
On Saturday the club will host the District Champion of Club Champions Pairs final with Damien Miller and David Quigley to play Greg Thurtell and Carl Sorgsepp from Boorowa Ex-Services.
There are also four games of Minor Singles scheduled for Saturday with Andrew Hutchison to play Mark Brownlie, Steve Walsh to play Brad Douglas, Luke Smithers to play Brian Christie and Milan Brankovic to play Scott Douglas.
Sunday morning bowls will start at the usual time of 9.30 am.
Play on Sunday afternoon will see the final of the Club Triples with Damien Miller, Brian Madden and Dave Quigley opposed to Colin Powell, Les Fanning and Mark Anderson.
Further games on Sunday in the Minor Singles will involve most of the winners from Saturday up against players who had a bye in the first round.
All the details for the weekend games are on the notice board.
This is another reminder for players to support the club by entering for the Open Three Bowl Pairs tournament to be played on Friday 30th August.
Entries close on Friday 23rd August.
If you want to play but are not yet in a team please make sure the organisers are aware of your interest.
