This Sunday they host Tumut Eagles at Hall Bros Oval, before heading to Wagga in the final regular round.
The Lions are three points outside the five.
Coach Mark Mellish said Young's simply focusing on putting together a strong performance against the Eagles.
"We're in touching distance of finals with the easier run in. It's known we need to win," he said.
"We'll play our brand of football and we will try and stick to our gameplan because we can be one of the best sides in the competition.
"We'll do as much as we can to keep our destiny in our own hands. Although [Tumut] can't make finals we won't be taking them lightly, we're not resting players."

Mat McKnight returns in goal while Isaac Anderson is expected to miss this match with a broken nose suffered at Leeton.
Mellish said he could shift Alex Mitchell to striker or promote Aiden Pratt, who made his debut last month, to the starting side.
Three games will be played at Hall Bros Oval on Sunday afternoon with third and fourth grade to play before first grade.
The ladies are on the road to Leeton.
Young and Tumut clash in the main game at 3pm.
