While Young did all they could to promote themselves, both Leeton and Wagga United scored shock wins over sides above them on the ladder.
With one regular round remaining, Young remains sixth, just one competition point outside the top five.
Fourth-placed Leeton (31 points, +27 goal difference) need to win to stay in the top five battle with fifth-placed Wagga United (31, +15) and sixth-placed Young (30, +10).
The results create a highly anticipated final round of the season.
Young will take on battling South Wagga while Leeton meets equal ladder leaders Lake Albert and Wagga United plays Tolland.
The three-way battle for fourth and fifth spot will be decided with results from these three fixtures. Young takes on South Wagga on Saturday under lights at Wagga.
Hanwood FC and Lake Albert are in the minor premiership race.
