Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey and Margaret Gailey were up against Honor Stollery, Mary Bennett and Kate Cooper.

Margaret's team managed to win the game 22/13. They will now go into the semi-final to be played Thursday, August 22 opposed to Zita Farrell, Robyn Tierney and Lee Veitch.

The other 2 teams to play are Margaret Glasheen, Judy Watson and Sheila Traynor against Jill Rosen, Ann Gardner and Julie Alavoine. May the luck be shared.

A social game was played while the Triples Championship was in play. Sue Gault (Grenfell), Jill Rosen and Lee Veitch had a one point win over Zita Farrell, Ann Gardner and Pat Reid (Grenfell). The girls only played 10 ends because of the freezing temperature.

Margaret Gailey's team won the club vouchers with the highest margin, but the jackpot did not go off.

At Social bowls last Thursday, August 15 Sheila Traynor and Margaret Gailey had a win over Jill Rosen and Kate Cooper with a margin of 8 while Ann Gardner, Zita Farrell and Heather Bailey lost to Ann Gardner (double lead), Julie Alavoine and Judith Mulligan by 3 shots. Sheila and Margaret won the vouchers.

The Young Women's Bowling Club will celebrate President's Day next Tuesday, August 27.
