Murray grabbed an early brace to guide Young to a comfortable 30-4 victory over Southcity Bulls in the preliminary final at Wagga's Harris Park on Sunday afternoon.
The result books Young a ticket to the decider against Gundagai Tigers this weekend.
Co-coach Greg Smith said it was one of Young's best performances of the season.
"We dominated every facet of the game," he said.
"It was such a good day. Matt Murray was great but everyone played well, we didn't even reward a players' player.
"It was a great team performance. Everyone who came on played just as good if not better as the bloke they replaced."
Murray crossed for an early double before Rhys Weldon hit back for Southcity to reduce the margin to 10-4 at halftime.
Young raced away to victory in the second period with four unanswered tries to Will Manwaring, Harry Nowlan, Jake Veney and Jacob Hardy.
Cherrypickers captain Nick Bush kicked three goals in the 26-point win.
Reserve grade's triumph means they join the club's under 17s and under 19s on grand final day this Sunday at Wagga's McDonalds Park.
All three grades come up against Gundagai Tigers.
Smith said it will be massive occasion.
"It's just exciting to have three grades in the grand finals. All play Gundagai which is ironic. They've been a dominant club for a long time so any win against them is great. Hopefully all three grades can get over them," Smith added.
Young Cherrypickers 30 (Matt Murray 2, Jacob Hardy, Jake Veney, Will Manwaring, Harry Nowlan tries; Nick Bush three goals) defeated Southcity Bulls 4 (R Weldon try).
