A man from Mayfield, NSW who was caught with cannabis and ice in his possession in Young has been fined $500.

Police patrolling Young stopped and spoke to Ryan Lester James, 29, seated in the driver's seat of parked vehicle about 10.30am on July 11, 2019.
Police say it was evident James was under the influence of drugs from his slurred speech and glazed eyes, and smell of cannabis.
Police asked if they could search the vehicle and he handed them a jar containing cannabis.
The search resulted in police locating a bottle containing a black case which contained a crystallised substance. Police also found an "ice pipe" and "bong".
He made full admissions to owning the cannabis which weighed 2.02g.
The ice, including package, weighed 0.36g.
