Young Cherrypickers rugby league club celebrated its season recognising its most valuable players and club people at the Young S and C Club on Saturday night.
Navori arrived in Young ahead of this season having had experience in the Queensland Cup plus played with Bombala in Group 16.
He added plenty of spark to Young's attack out wide causing a number of headaches for rival side's defence.
Outgoing first grade coach Roy Jewitt prasied Navori and said he's signed for another season.
"That's great news for Nick [Hall, incoming coach] and the Pickers moving forward," Jewitt said.
"He was a prize signing for us. I saw about one minute of footage of him and could tell straight away he was the right fit. Fijians are fantastic people and he's fitted really well into the town. He was outstanding this year."
Jewitt thanked a number of people for their support during 2019, and wished the club success next year.
"A big thank you to the Young Cherrypickers for allowing me to follow my dream of coaching the first grade side 23 years after I left Oldham to captain/coach the side. Thanks to the people of Young who supported us, and the sponsors, the club wouldn't be in the position it's in without you," Jewitt said.
"All players across the grades this year represented the club to the best of their ability. Winning two premierships in 17s and 19s certainly puts the club in great position.
"Winning the club championships in seniors and juniors is a massive effort.
"Lots of highs during the season, and a few lows. It's a tough gig coaching these days and I realised that this position needs a stronger person who's prepared to make the tough decisions and wield the axe when needed."
"Goodluck to the new coach Nick Hall, let's get behind him because he will get the job done. Hopefully give the club that premiership they've been craving since 1991."
Further major award winners on the night were Blake Coombes (17s), Ned Evans (19s), Will Manwaring and Harry Nowlan (reserve grade) and Jane McLennan (ladies' league tag) who all won Player of the Year prizes for their respective grades.
James Ferguson received the Ted Sell Memorial Trophy awarded to a player showing outstanding potential, while Saul Lealaifeta won the Coach of the Year prize for his efforts with the ladies' league-tag side.
Brad Pettit won Manager of the Year. Sam Langford, a club junior, received the Brad Mackenzie Memorial Trophy recognising a player who makes first grade with his junior club.
