Stephen had the realisation that his dietary requirements were very important as a powerlifter and bodybuilder and Stephen has big shoes to fill as his father was Mr Australia back in the seventies.

Stephen has owned and operated businesses in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, from The Vintage Point restaurant to The Wine Room Piano bar and Vault Nightclub. But these businesses and experiences were the stepping stones to his true passion for healthy lifestyle and healthy food.
With this in mind Stephen had tried experimented and trialled an assortment of eating plans to discover which best worked for him, from vegan and paleo to pescatarian, keto and gluten free and the real ambition of The Shack was conceptualised.
The Shack coming to Young was on the suggestions of Stephen's family and friends here in town that have constantly asked him to open a Shack as there was a gap in this style of café in this community.
This was also the case with our other locations in Sydney and now they have become destination venues that have brought health conscious people together. This is also the plan for Young to give the community a healthier option that a lot more people are looking for these days.
Stephen had decided to explore the possibility of a Shack in Young and after a period of time the old Snack Shack site was chosen and given the The Shack face lift. Now Young has a funky, hip and healthy café to enjoy.
