A number of monthly nominees have been named, recognising individuals and teams who now have the chance to be named Young's junior, intermediate or senior 2019 Sportsperson of the Year.
A Team of the Year prize is also awarded.
The date of the presentation night is set to be announced later this month, as well as the special guest speaker, but is expected to be early 2020.
In January, junior nominee was Zara Hewson recognised in equestrian, Nic Hall, Harry Fitzpatrick (rugby league) and Ben Schofield (cricket) are the intermediate nominees and triathlete Michael Stallard was recognised in the seniors.
Archie Gay, Oscar Taylor, Trent Shean (PSSA Riverina cricket) were recognised juniors for February, Cherrypickers Jacob Lucas, Will Hills, Steven Anderson, Mitch Prest, Tom Jenkins, Josh Coade and Charlie Corcoron received intermediate nominations for representing the Riverina Bulls, while Tori Wall is the senior nominee for equestrian.
Casey Wall and Jesse Corcoran were the recognised seniors in March for representing Riverina under 23s rugby league, Charlie Sullivan and Marty McGrath (rugby union) received intermediate nominations and Caitlyn Williams and Thomas Grainger (PSSA swimmers) are the junior nominees.
April junior nominees are Willow McAlister (swimming) and Corey McCoy (whipcracking), while Harold Anderson (lawn bowls) joined the running for senior Sportsperson of the Year. April's intermediate nominee is yet to be named.
Lady golfers Liz Harding and Leanne Slater received recognition in the senior category for May, Tom New (equestrian) joined the running for the intermediate Sportsperson of the Year, while Sophie Schultz and Gracie Moles received May's junior nomination for PSSA state aerobics.
Young's ladies' bowlers have received plenty of recognition in the teams section with the ladies' triples team and summer state league finalists receiving nominations for January and February respectively.
Young's under 11s Kay McDonald Trophy cricketers are the March nominees, Young Swimming Club received recognition in April, and Young North Public School's PSSA Aerobics stars in May entered the running for Team of the Year.
