On Saturday afternoon Scott Douglas, Joe Read, Joe Hennock and James Freudenstein were opposed to Brian March, Milan Brankovic, Colin Stokell and Mark Anderson.
In a very close and low scoring game the scores were level at 6-all after 11 ends with Mark's team opening up a lead of 14-8 after 18 ends and going on to win 14-11.
Another four games were played on Sunday morning.
The winners from Saturday got away to a great start against Colin Parker, Joe Bargwanna, Bill Maloney and Cliff Traynor to lead 9-0 after 5 ends.
From that point Cliff's team dominated the scoring to win 24-15.
Brian Christie, Mick Manning, Peter Slater and Tom Preston played Ian Schofield, Ged Hardman, Graeme Edgerton and Russell Boyd and led 11-7 after 16 ends in another low scoring game. Russell's team did best over the final 5 ends to win 15-13.
After 12 ends of the game that saw Albert Carter, Ted Loader, David Ward and Denis Rosen up against John Cooper, Harold Anderson, Bob Ruhl and George Somerville the scores were level at 13-all.
From there Denis and his team moved to a lead of 24-15 and went on to win 24-20.
The fourth game was a close fought one with Damien Miller, Brian Madden, Tom Shapcott and Dave Quigley playing Tony Ruhl, Terry Holmes, Colin Powell and Les Fanning.
After 9 ends the scores were level at 8-all before Dave's team moved to a lead of 17-8 after 15 ends. Les's team then won 4 consecutive ends to trail 15-17 with 2 ends to play. Both teams added 1 shot to their total over the final 2 ends for Dave's team to win 18-16.
In the first of the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon Dave Quigley's team dominated the scoring on the early ends against Denis Rosen's team and took out a one-sided game.
The second semi-final saw Russell Boyd's team establish a lead of 20-4 against Cliff Traynor's team after 13 ends.
Despite Cliff's team winning 6 of the final 8 ends they could not bridge this big gap and Russell's team won 22-14.
The final of the Club Fours will be played on Saturday afternoon.
There has only been one other Championship game played during the week.
On Monday afternoon Sheila and Cliff Traynor played Michel and Julie Alavoine.
The result was a clear-cut win to Sheila and Cliff.
On Tuesday afternoon 24 players took part in the Melbourne Cup Day bowls. The format was two games of Three Bowl Pairs. There was a break in play to allow players to watch the running of the race and then the second game was completed. Light refreshments were served and prizes presented after the second game. Jill Rosen and John Cooper were the afternoon's winners with Sheila Traynor and Kate Cooper the runners-up.
Men's bowls on Thursday afternoon saw 22 players on the green in cooler than expected conditions. Max Penfold and Ian Schofield were in very good form and took out the vouchers with a winning margin of 18 shots.
Just eight players took part in Jackpot Bowls on Saturday afternoon. Albert Carter and John Cooper took out the vouchers for the afternoon with winning margin of 23 shots while Ted Loader and Michael Webb won their game by 10 shots.
The winners for Tuesday night's play in the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge were EFL with a score of 15 points. Not far behind them were Young Bees with 14 points and Porky Pies with 14 points.
Thursday night saw the 3G Mac Attack team (with their full complement of players this week) score 14 points and survive a count-back over Bowl Terras to take out the vouchers for the night.

Tuesday's nine hole stroke event was won by David Jazzy on 23 nett with second going to Vera McMillan on 24 nett. Robert Norton had two gobbles and Rodney Pratt had one gobble.
Thursday's game was won by Pat Hewen on 53 nett. Geoff Nott came in second with 55 nett. Geoff had one birdie. Pat and Nigel Willett each had one gobble.
Sunday a Canadian Fouresome event was played. First went to Pat Hewen and Lindsay Sheather on 47 1/2 nett. Second went to Geoff Nott and Barry Hazlegrove on 52 1/2 nett. There was no birdie hole or eagle nest winner.
This Sunday will be a stroke event.
Coming up on Sunday December 8 will be the Tipperary Cherry Festival Cup. December 15 will be out Christmas at the Clubhouse. More information will be given closer to the events.
