Now in its third year, Stars of Young is a popular annual event which puts the fun back into fundraising.
Local adults learn dance routines and then perform at a gala event - this year to be held at the Young Services Club on Friday and June 12 and 13.
During the period of learning their routines, the Stars conduct fundraising events of their choice.
Proceeds go to the Cancer Council NSW to assist funding its world-class research, prevention, advocacy and information and support services for people affected by cancer.
"Cancer does not discriminate and there would be very people who have not been affected by this insidious disease," said Christine Williams, Community Relations Coordinator (Wagga Wagga and Communities) for Cancer Council NSW.
Last year more than 500 guests cheered on the Stars - with Ray White Real Estate duo Dick Cummins and David Coombes being voted most popular for their Rocky Horror Picture Show display.
"You don't have to be able to dance, anyone with two left feet will be made look good by dance teachers Leanne Simms, Gaby Capra and Lloyd Keenan," Ms Williams said.
