Saturday's event for Men was a two person ambrose sponsored by the Green's staff. Thanks to Steve Winterton and Ben Baker. Fifty players battled the windy conditions and Jim Brewster and Brett Scelly won the day with 60.5 nett. In second position were Peter Campbell and Simon Murray with a score of 63.75 nett. The Watson Toyota NTP winners were Mark Sheridan on the 7th and Ron Thompson on the 17th. The Eagles Nest was not struck and the Ian Page Bricklaying card draw was also not won. The Vinnies Pizza award was won by Des Daley and Nathan McEvoy.

The Wednesday medley event was won by Simon Oakes with 40 points. Second went to Terry Perrin on a countback from Penny Greaves with 39 points. There were 86 players and balls went down to 33 points on a countback.
On Friday Brett Scelly was the runaway winner of the 9 hole competition with 28 points. Paul Levett was second with 25 points.
Junior golf clinics have resumed and are held on Monday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm. Phil Cartwright is catering for all ability levels and there is no charge associated with these clinics. To be part of this group leave your child's name at the front desk of the Services Club.
The Young Tyrepower Daylight competition has recommenced after the Christmas break. Hilltops Regional Security are the week one leaders over the Young Pet Nanny followed by Irvines Fruit Barn. If you haven't entered a team yet its not too late to do so. Pay a one off team fee of $250 and enjoy the next nine weeks of golf. Next Saturday the Men will play a 4BBB sponsored by Greg Nolan, John Jones and Barry Martens. The following week is a 4BBB sponsored by Dave Taylor and Daryl Brown. Golfers of all abilities are reminded that the Triple O Emergency Services 4 person open charity ambrose is on Friday the 28th February. Get a team together and support this worthy cause. The event is a shotgun start at 10.00am. The South West Slopes Credit Union 2020 Men's Championships begin on Saturday 7th March and continue through to 15th March.
