Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke inspected upgrades on Monday morning including new change rooms for men, women and referees, a storage shed, new public toilets, goal nets and seating.
Funding of $280,833 from the state government's stronger country communities fund helped make the improvements possible.
These upgrades follow previous projects funded by grants to fix drainage and turn the single oval into two, bringing the government's total spend at Cranfield Oval to more than $900,000.
Young Yabbies president Cec Finley said the upgrades have created new opportunities for players, boosting the club's numbers for 2020.
"Being able to build female change rooms means for the first time in our club's history we have a women's side entered in to the Central West Rugby's Oil Plus South West Women's Competition," he said.
"We've been able to attract players to this team with these new facilities which is fantastic."
He said new goal post netting will reduce the risk of player and spectator injury.
"We've been able to put in some new netting so we won't be chasing balls out on to the street and down in to the creek," Mr Finley said.
"It's been a godsend for us to be able to improve our facilities, not only for our players but for our spectators and our sponsors."
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the upgrades highlighted the state government's commitment to regional infrastructure and sport.
"It's fantastic to see what the Young Rugby Club is doing and how they are working to expand their sport for all players, with these new change rooms catering to both men and women," she said.
"We all need to be getting out and playing more sport, and it doesn't hurt to have great upgrades to well-loved facilities like Cranfield Oval.
"The stronger country communities fund is there to help projects around regions like ours and it's wonderful seeing it put to such good use."
Cranfield Oval is used by multiple sports including Young's Touch Football Association and South West Slopes senior and junior cricket.
Hilltops Council mayor Brian Ingram was pleased to see the upgrades.
"This project brings to fruition a great deal of work on the grounds that was initiated by the Young Sports Advisory Committee with funding by the former Young Shire Council and has been continued by Hilltops Council," he said.
"The new amenities block will ensure that both local and visiting sporting teams have access to modern day facilities. This is another example of the great results that can be achieved through the collaboration between state and local governments.
"We acknowledge the hard work of local member Steph Cooke for her assistance in securing additional funding through the stronger country communities fund for this fantastic community facility."
