The Young and District Netball Association netted a cool $4,500 from the state government's sports grants this week.
Committee member Melinda Hambrook said it will help provide for the next generation of netball players.
"This grant is excellent news for us because it will inspire and hopefully bring more juniors to join the club, help them to enjoy all the fun of sport and help us to provide new equipment," Melinda said.
"It will be fantastic to be able to bring some new little ones through by subsidising their registrations and get some new equipment for them."
Cootamundra MP Steph Cooke visited Young's netball courts on Tuesday. She said the money will set up the association nicely for the future.
"We have such a strong netball community and this grant will mean the Young and District Netball Association is well placed for the future.
"Sport is so important for our communities and it is such a pleasure to announce this funding which will make it possible for even more young people to get involved."
The local sport grants program awards sporting organisations up to $20,000 for projects which focus on development and participation, access and facility development.
