The change will allow for travel for the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
Readers of The Young Witness voiced their thoughts when asked where they'd be heading when the travel ban ceases.
The majority of people who responded were against travel.

"How ridiculous. Enjoy your few days away, because we will most likely be locked down again for six months or more," Mick Bryant said.
"Way too soon. Trouble on the way," said Rosemary Smith.
"Way too soon to lift restrictions," Bev Haines said.
One reader urged people who are looking at travelling to be sensible and "don't let your guard down", while another said they more looking forward to seeing pubs and clubs reopen without crowd limits.
Two readers were pleased with the decision by the state government.

"I can't wait I'll be off camping," Tami Craig said.
"Thank goodness," said Kate Cockburn.
Many cultural institutions - like museums, art galleries and libraries - will be able to open their doors, with restrictions, from June 1.
"It's good news, but please treat the good news with caution. We want people to enjoy themselves and feel free but please know that nothing we do is the same in a pandemic," NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.
