"The Committee will start working through these regulations to get our Club compliant and we can hopefully be in a position by late next week to release a plan around rescheduling training and the shape our Club and season will take," Young Junior Rugby League president Ben Mott said.
"There are still quite a few hurdles to jump and with current rules around numbers of people training in a group - currently 10 - and how many people can be in one place at a time - ie training on the oval at one time in groups of 10 - we cannot allow a return to training for our Pickers just yet."
According to Mott one of the criteria for the club moving forward is to initiate a COVID-19 Safety Officer and are calling on someone from the community to step up and take on this role.
"If you would be willing to fill this role please contact me and we can look into what is involved and how to get the relevant information for you," Mott said.
On Tuesday NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden announced the NSWRL was pleased to confirm that community football for children in competitions up to and including under 18 comps will resume in July following the NSW Government's latest announcement.
"This is a really positive outcome, not only for the Rugby League community, but the broader community and we are grateful that the NSW Government has given the green light for a return to children's sport," Trodden said.
"It is really important though that we all remain vigilant and adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines that have been set so we can all enjoy the return of sport for the long-term."
Mott is encouraging players parents to keep an eye on their emails and the club's Facebook page for any further updates.
