Young's rainfall this month doubled over the weekend with the weather station at Young Airport, about 8km north-west of Young, receiving 34.8mm.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the station received 26.6mm of rain between 9am Saturday and 9am Sunday, and a further 8.2mm in the following 24 hours.
It takes the total rainfall for June to 65.6mm.
There were reports of much higher totals in Young and surrounding areas, with readers of the Young Witness on Sunday morning sharing how much rain they'd received.
Rebecca Sams said Donges Road, Young received 43mm, Colleen Clancy reported 43mm at Quamby, 41mm filled the gauge at Wirrimah according to Jody Lenard, Rosco Williams said 38mm fell between Murringo and Boorowa, and Gillian Apps recorded 30mm at Wombat.
There were reports of up to 80mm falling in Young over the two days.
Hilltops Council reported on Monday morning that a number of roads in Boorowa had been closed due to flooding.
These included the Scott Street Causeway, Brial Road Causeway and Kennys Creek Causeway. Temperatures plummeted on Sunday with the mercury reaching 13.5 degrees Celsius, after a much warmer 17 degrees on Saturday.
The forecast on Monday was cloudy to reach a top of only 10 degrees. There's a chance of showers on Tuesday and top of 11 degrees.
