Weather presenter Sam Mac featured a range of local businesses, community groups and familiar faces from the Cherry Capital during regular weather updates throughout the morning.
It was a freezing, foggy July morning with filming done at Young's Chinese Tribute Garden.
Wilders Bakery, Ballinaclash Wines and Fruit, Poppa's Fudge and Jam Factory, Annette's Place Early Education, singer-songwriter Harry Cleverdon, Hilltops Glamping, Taubman and Webb Trading Post, Young Cycle Group, EB Batinich and Co, and bush poet Ted Webber all enjoyed air time on the popular news program.
2019 Cherry King David Munnerley and Charity Queen Brianah Griffin made an appearance, with the King taking part in a messy cherry-pie eating competition.
Hilltops Council general manager Anthony O'Reilly said it was great opportunity to put Young on the national stage.
"We were excited to welcome Sam Mac and the Sunrise weather team to Young on Tuesday morning. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Hilltops region to a national audience. We would have loved to have been able to invite everyone along to join in the fun, however keeping the community safe was our priority," Hilltops GM Anthony O'Reilly said.
The Sunrise weather team following the broadcast made their way to Poppa's Fudge and Jam Factory.
"What a great day. We got to showcase a snippet of what we have on offer in our great store on Sunrise, followed by a visit from all the crew," Poppa's posted on social media.
Musician Harry Cleverdon in a post on Facebook said it was a great experience to perform on live television to an audience Australia-wide.
"Had an amazing chance to perform live on Sunrise this morning, Sam was wonderful and was a great experience.
"Thanks to everyone involved and all the awesome messages people have sent through," he said.
"So much fun hanging with the Sunrise crew this morning," Hilltops Glamping posted on Facebook.
"Thanks Sunrise for having us," Ballinaclash Wines and Fruit said.
