While the full extent of Ben Picker's knee injury is still not known, Hall has made a number of changes to the forward pack to tackle Tumut at Twickenham on Sunday.

James Woolford moves into hooker to replace Picker while Blake Hewitt and Mia Tema have also been handed starting roles.

The moves see Jayke Hogan push into the front row with Jesse Corcoran and Kyle Richens dropping back to the bench.

"It was early days and we hadn't had a full pre-season," Hall said.

"The guys who got into the starting squad had earned it but the guys who are starting this week have just been irresistible with their form.

"I don't think anyone could deny Blake has been very good and Mia has been good on his edge too. Hoges similarly.

"It's recognising the efforts but strangely the guys who have gone back to the bench were better than what they were against Junee as well."

Josh Ayers is the new face in the side after linking with the club from Canberra.

He's played well over 200 first grade games there and has impressed in reserve grade during the opening rounds of the Group Nine season.

With Ayers, Richens, Corcoran Mick Dodson on the bench Hall has a number of forward options to call upon.

Up against the strong Blues pack he's looking to get his rotations right.

"We've got some big guys too and we're just looking to get it right," Hall said.

"Sometimes with those big guys and fast footy you need some rotation and Tumut have some fit forwards who can play big minutes at a good tempo.

"We just want to be able to match them."

With Ayers, Richens, Corcoran Mick Dodson on the bench Hall has a number of forward options to call upon. Up against the strong Blues pack he's looking to get his rotations right.

In the lower grades, reserve grade is looking to make it three straight victories following wins over Junee and Gundagai to open the 2020 season.

The Cherrypickers lead the competition thanks to superior differential, while Tumut are still searching for their first victory. Young's ladies' league tag has bolted out the boxes and also are top of the table.

They've only conceded four points in two weeks.

The under 16s are chasing a first win, while under 18s have had a mixed start with one win and one loss.

Games begin from 10am on Sunday.
