Monteagle-based harness trainers enjoyed a win at Young Paceway on Tuesday with Billysbredone saluting in the Turners Furniture One Pace (2100m).

The result was career win number nine for Billysbredone who has had a big season registering six wins and eight minor placings since September last year.

Blake Micallef took the reins and swiftly moved the five-year-old gelding from the second row to third on the rails.

They peeled wide at the top of the bend ahead of the home stretch and came over the top of the race leaders to win by 1.8m.

Second was Im Not Crazy for trainer Alanah Pitt driven by Blake Jones, while third was Young pacer Uroc Skinny Jeans for Rick Burnett and driver Jessica Prior.

Trainer-driver team David Druitt and Ross Druitt combined for two wins on the night.

Babylon Bambi, a five-year-old mare, took out the TAB Odds and Evens Maiden Pace (2100m) in her eighth career start.

She showed promise during the past month with two minor placings at Young and Leeton.

Babylon Bambi's stablemate Kamwood Izzy won the Christy Park Pace (2100m) to post win number 15 in her career.

The six-year-old mare has had a busy career clocking up 109 starts.

Young races again on Tuesday, August 11.

Other winners were Illawong Kellie for trainer-driver Bruce Harpley, Redbank Harry for trainer Stan Hedlund driven by Harpley, and Backbencher for trainer-driver Matthew Harris.
